Barry Boyd, M.D.
Dr. Boyd is a medical oncologist and a pioneer in the field of integrative cancer care. He is the founder of the Integrative Medicine Program at Greenwich Hospital-Yale Health Systems, where he is currently the Director of Nutritional Oncology. Dr. Boyd is an Assistant Clinical Professor, the Director of Curriculum in Nutrition, and the Director of Curriculum of Integrative Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, as well as an affiliate member of the Yale Cancer Center.
David Brown, Sc.D.
Dr. Brown is a Public Health Consultant at the Southwest Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project and also serves as Public Health Toxicologist and Director of Public Health Toxicology for Environment and Human Health, Inc. He is the past Chief of Environmental Epidemiology and Occupational Health in Connecticut and served as Deputy Director of the Public Health Practice Group of Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) at the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sheila Bushkin, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Bushkin is a faculty member of the Institute of Health and the Environment at the State University at Albany. She is a member of Concerned Health Professionals of New York and the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) since 1998, she has served on many committees concerned with public health education and advocacy issues. Dr. Bushkin is a dedicated advocate for the advancement of public health and preventive medicine.
David O. Carpenter, M.D.
Dr. Carpenter is the Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment, a Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization, as well as a professor of environmental health sciences at University at Albany's School of Public Health. He previously served as Director of the Wadsworth Center of the New York State Department of Health, and as Dean of the University at Albany School of Public Health.
Philip J. Landrigan, M.D., M.Sc.
Dr. Landrigan is former Dean of Global Health, as well as Professor of Preventative Medicine and Pediatrics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, and is Past Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Industrial Medicine and Editor Emeritus of Environmental Research. He has published more than 500 scientific papers and 5 books. He has chaired committees at the National Academy of Sciences on Environmental Neurotoxicology and on Pesticides in the Diets of Infants and Children.
Alex Lu, Ph.D.
Dr. Lu is an Associate Professor of Environmental Exposure Biology in the Department of Environmental Health at Harvard University's T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). Dr. Lu's research focuses on understanding how ecological and human health are being affected by the pervasive presence of chemicals in the environment, including pesticides. Since 2006, Dr. Lu has served as an Associate Editor for Environmental Health Perspectives, one of the leading peer-review journals of environmental health, and also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for more than 30 scientific journals.
Frederica Perera, M.P.H., D.P.H., Ph.D.
Dr. Perera is Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, as well as Director of the Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health. Her areas of specialization include prevention of environmentally related developmental disorders and disease in children, environment-susceptibility interactions and risk assessment. She is the author of over 350 publications, including 300 peer-reviewed articles, and has received numerous honors.
Patrick Pizzo, Ed.D.
Dr. Pizzo is Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance for the East Meadow Public School District in East Meadow, New York. Dr. Pizzo is also the President of Equity 4 LI Youth, an organization dedicated to the empowerment of underserved youth through opportunity, mentorship, community resources, and equity. He served as an instructor for the School Facilities Management Certificate Program at Hofstra University School of Continuing Education from 2012 to 2020. Dr. Pizzo was a founding member of the Healthy Schools Campaign's Green Clean Schools Leadership Council. Dr. Pizzo holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago, a Master of Business Administration and an Advanced Certificate as a School District Leader from Long Island University.
Maya Shetreat-Klein, M.D.
Dr. Shetreat-Klein is an integrative pediatric neurologist who is board-certified in Adult and Pediatric Neurology as well as in Pediatrics. She teaches integrative neurology as faculty at New York Medical College and UMDNJ, and lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Shetreat-Klein sits on expert advisory boards for Autism Society of America's Treatment Guided Research Initiative founded by Dr. Martha Herbert.
John Wargo. Ph.D., M.L.A.
Dr. Wargo is a Professor of Risk Analysis, Environmental Policy, and Political Science, and Chair of the Yale College Environmental Studies Major and Program. He has lectured extensively on the limits and potential of environmental law, with a focus on human health, and is the author of Green Intelligence - Creating Environments that Protect Human Health, published by Yale Press, which won the Independent Publishers Award of Gold Medal in the field of "environment, ecology, and nature" for 2010. Dr. Wargo also wrote Our Children's Toxic Legacy: How Science and Law Fail to Protect Us from Pesticides, published by Yale University Press in 1998.
